Accidents and medical errors happen when part of 你r care does not work out as planned or when an incorrect plan of care was followed. By asking and answering questions about 你r health status, 诊断, and treatment plan, 你 can assist the healthcare team. Good clear communication is vital to keep every patient safe.

Team up for safety
- Choose a doctor that 你 are comfortable talking with. Speak up if 你 have questions or concerns. Take a friend or relative to help 你 understand the answers.
- Keep a list of all the medications that 你 take. Include the amount of each dose and the time 你 take them. Be sure to tell 你r physician and pharmacist about all medications. Include over-the-counter medications such as aspirin, 泰诺, 布洛芬, 维生素, and herbal supplements. Mention any drug allergies.
- Make sure 你 get the results of tests or procedures. Ask 你r doctor or nurse when and how 你 will get the results. If 你 don't receive them when expected, call 你r doctor. Ask what the results mean for 你r care.

- How long will the recovery take?
